Friday: August 16th
11:00AM – 9:00PM @ Colorado Convention Center
Wellness Your Way is all about kick-starting your healthy lifestyle. With celebrity fitness experts, cooking demonstrations, tons of health and fitness expos, and a concert featuring Rachel Platten (“Fight Song”), this will be a fun event for everyone in the family. Best of all, all kids under 12 get in for free!
6:00PM – 8:00PM @ Orchard Town Center
For an easy-going Friday night, head over to The Orchard for a free, audience participation show. This weekend they are hosting a Family Feud game night so it is the perfect event for a night of family bonding.
6:40PM – 10:00PM @ Coors Field
As the summer winds down, make the most of what is left of baseball season and get out to a game! Coors Field is always a fun time, and who doesn’t love a ballfield hotdog for dinner?
Saturday: August 17th
9:00AM – 4:00PM @ Lafayette Peach Festival
Indulge your sweet tooth and enjoy peach pies, peach cobbler, and peach smoothies at the Lafayette Peach Festival! In addition to food vendors, there will be crafters, antique dealers, and children’s activities!
9:00AM – 11:00AM @ Denver Urban Gardens
Kickstart your family’s composting journey with Denver Urban Gardens! Each Saturday they host two-hour-long public classes delving into the basics of backyard composting.
11:00AM – 6:00PM @ Aurora Municipal Center
Global Fest promises to entertain people of all ages with music, dance performances, a fashion show, a parade of nations, an international marketplace with food, craft, and beer vendors and a kid’s play area!
Book a time slot @ Colorado Adventure Center
Get outside and put your family to the test with Colorado Adventure Center’s newest attraction: Sky Trek! The aerial park features over 55 challenging obstacles and offers three distinct routes so all ages and abilities can give it a go.
Sunday: August 18th
12:30PM and 3:00PM @ Denver Museum of Nature & Science
For a more low-key Sunday, head over to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and check out their Museum-produced show all about black holes! Then afterward, you can spend the day enjoying the rest of the museum!
3:00PM – 8:00PM @ The Shops at Northfield Stapleton
Each summer the ice rink at The Shops at Northfield is converted into a rollerblading rink and opens up on the weekends! If you don’t have skates don’t worry, they have rentals available!
6:30PM – 8:00PM @ Denver Botanical Gardens
Outdoor summer concerts are always a good time but Denver Botanical Gardens ups the game with their breathtaking venue right in the midst of one of the nation’s top botanical gardens. This week, catch Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers!
