Labor Day weekend is the perfect weekend to get out and about and have some fun with your family. To help you out we have rounded up the best 10 events happening in Dallas from Friday through Monday from a rodeo to dinosaur festival!
Friday: August 30th
9:00AM – 10:30AM @Lone Star Circus School
Get wild this weekend and sign your kids up for Circus school! This class is specifically for ages 7-15 and takes the kids through circuits on silks, trapeze, tight rope, jugging, and on the floor.
7:30PM – 9:00PM @Fair Park Coliseum
After 23 years, the rodeo is coming back to the State Fair of Texas this Labor Day Weekend. The event will be filled with family-friendly entertainment and rodeo action any Texas family will love! Best of all, it will be air-conditioned!
Saturday: August 31st
10:00AM – 1:00PM @Market Square
Farmers markets are always a good way to pass a Saturday. This week, the Grand Prairie Farmers Market will be hosting a family-friendly Craft Fair day along with their usual market offerings of locally grown fruits and vegetables, baked goods, tamales, salsas, dips, relishes, eggs, honey, chips, plants, soaps, candles and more.

Enjoy a family-friendly carnival while giving back! The Sacred Children Inc Carnival is bringing pony rides, face painting/balloons, mini bumper cars, train rides, characters, and live music together to raise money to assist children transitioning from foster care to adulthood.
10:00AM – 4:00PM @Perot Museum of Nature and Science
Every Labor Day weekend, Perot Museum hosts Dino Fest. The event includes a dinosaur pit, face painting, a life-size dinosaur roaming the hall, talks from paleontologists, trivia, and more!
6:00PM – 11:00PM @Dallas Convention Center
This is a must for any and all jazz lovers! The event is three full days of thrilling jazz artists performing on three stages! Attendees can catch performances from Honorary Chairs Louis Gossett, Jr., Erykah Badu, Raheem DeVaughn, Jennifer Holliday, members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and more.
Sunday: September 1
10:00AM – 10:00PM @Museum of Memories
The Museum of Memories is an artist’s attempt to bring positivity into the world while allowing people of all ages to take a stroll down memory lane. The museum meshes art and creativity with coming-of-age experiences to craft a quirky and nostalgic exhibit.
4:00PM – 9:00PM @Klyde Warren Park
Treat yourself to a special food truck dinner this Sunday at the Klyde Warren Park Food Truck Rally. The event will have over 25 different food trucks as well as a live DJ, activities and giant games on the lawn!
Monday: September 2
10:00AM – 3:00PM @Pump IT Up – Forest Lane
Let off some steam on Labor Day and take your kids to an open jump at Pump IT Up in Forest Lane. Pump It UP is Dallas’ inflatable party venue and while it is usually reserved for private events, on Monday it will be open for all to enjoy!
12:00PM – 7:00PM @The Texas Pool
Celebrate Labor Day in the most Texas way, at a pool party in a giant pool in the shape of Texas! The Texas Pool will be serving up traditional Texas-style hotdogs all day and have a variety of pool games and contests!
