Westmont Yard offers Mighty Tykes Soccer classes for kids 2-6 years old on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. They have created a unique child-focused soccer development program that focuses on learning in a fun environment. Through a mixture of fun games and creative activities, your kids won’t even know that they are learning soccer! Looking for something for your older child? They also offer a Fall Soccer Program for kids ages 5-13 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays!
Little Legends Soccer Academy runs soccer clinics, foot skills and league games for boys and girls ages 2-8 years old! This premier soccer academy located in the North Shore has a program to fit almost every level and schedule:
- Born to Kick Program (Ages 24-35 Months): This unique program creates the opportunity for children to experience body awareness, increase their vocabulary, learn about number, shapes, form, texture, colors, and explore their surroundings in a safe environment. Parent participation required.
- Clinics for 3-4 Year Olds: This youth soccer program is especially for children ages 3 and 4 years old who want to be challenged week by week and have no soccer playing experience.
- Clinics for 5-6 Year Olds: In this program, kids learn more challenging soccer skills and are introduced to movement and change of direction within the game, with offense and defense roles included as well.
- Clinics for 7-8 Year Olds: The last step in Little Leagues Soccer Academy is this clinic, which still includes developmental patterns and fun in the soccer game itself, but also introduces advanced kids soccer drills for cultivating footwork skills and real game playing performance.
The Core Program offered by AYSO Region 418 is the foundation for all the fun, excitement and learning that happens on the fields. The program includes both Fall & Spring seasons and is offered to boys and girls beginning at age 3.
Teams are put together in a way that makes playing soccer about the experience, not wins or losses. It’s not about blowing out another team with an unbelievable score; it’s about sportsmanship and learning to be the best possible teammate and opponent. Developing players is what they are all about, because soccer skills and life skills go hand in hand. AYSO’s main purpose is to get kids on the field, provide them with good coaches, and teach them to play soccer.
